What is AquaResist?

AquaResist is resistance training in water.  Each class encompasses a wide variety of exercise techniques. Each technique is specifically designed to develop strength, increase flexibility and mobility, improve cardiovascular capacity, co-ordination and balance.  The water provides the resistance or assistance to encourage functional movement patterns for restoration, preparation or rehabilitation.   

Your instructor is in the pool, to demonstrate the exercise, monitor your technique and progress your program

 

Who will benefit from AquaResist?

The AquaResist program has been developed for the benefit of all age groups and levels of ability. 

  • For those wanting to lose weight or gain muscle

  • For those waiting for orthopedic or musculoskeletal surgery.  Pre-hab programs can be developed in consultation with your surgeon or specialist.   

  • For those recovering from an injury or surgery, Rehabilitation programs - progressive structured and tailored to your specific requirements

  • For those that want a cardiovascular workout but are unable to work out on land to the right intensity.

  • For those that want pre-season/in-season or variety to their current training  

  • For anyone - wanting a fun way to get a great workout. You don't need to know how to swim and you don't even need to get your hair wet...  

  • Workout in a group or individual or small private groups can be arranged.
